Starting Mid September on the Kilckitat is best time for the swung fly on this popular but sometimes fickle river. I will be fishing here and the Methow this fall and concentrating on swinging the small speys and switch rods until the Salmon start spawning, once the egg thing gets rolling I plan moving up to the Methow. I have openings for the Klick in September and a few weeks open for the Methow in October/November, the WDFW should be announcing the opening date for the upper Columbia tribs sometime in September. Keep an eye on the fish counts at the Dam's that will pre-determine a opening date.
