Dan "Rooster" Leavens
Dan Leavens aka Rooster, has fished for steelhead
in the OP region for many years. Between trips to Alaska and
living in Montana, the Olympic Peninsula steelhead run
keeps him coming back. This year Rooster
has offered his incredible guiding talents to Brazda's fly fishing. Rooster brings a wealth
of knowledge about fly fishing and the adventures it offers.

You could also find Dan in a Montana duck blind, Eastern Washington
goose pit, whitetail deer stand, S.E. AK steelhead stream or
trout fishing his home waters around Twin Bridges Montana . Dan
is also co-owner and operator of the very successful Stonefly
Inn in Twin Bridges, Montana.
I feel that the Rooster will give any trip
you have planned a quality second to none
Jim Kerr
Jim Kerr, the absolute king of the "one liner". He
will fill your day with witty commentary and good humor. I was
fortunate to have met Jim a few years ago on the Olympic Peninsula
while needing another guide. He has graciously offered to help
me with some of my inherent guiding needs.

He
has been guiding fly anglers in these parts for a decade and
has pioneered some great fly fishing accomplishments. A
wealth of local knowledge, Jim will teach you of more than
just a good drift. Jim guides in Alaska part time on Lake Creek.
He also is one of the few that offer guided fly fishing trips
in the Straight of Juan De Fuca for salmon, Bass and cutthroat. He
has had the distinction of guiding semi famous anglers such
as Les Johnson, Pete Soverel, Dave Hughes and Brian O'Keefe.
Joe Willaur
Joe began fly fishing as a kid growing up in Eastern Washington
exploring spring creeks such as Rocky Ford and some lesser known
waters. While attending CWU and guiding he began chasing steelhead.
Joe has spent many days fishing the Eastern Washington steelhead
rivers with a focus on the Methow and Klickitat. Also during
this time he began fishing the Olympic Peninsula. Joe graduated
from CWU in the spring of 2006 and is now guiding on his homewater
the Yakima as well as the Klickitat, Methow, and Olympic Peninsula.
You can rest assured that between the four of us we
will give you the quality fly fishing experience you are looking
for.
Rex Maurer aka; High Power Maurer
I met Rex on the Bogachiel river a few years back and we have been
great friends ever since. He has recently retired from 3M corporation
as a regional sales manager, where he also managed an over the
top love for outdoor wilderness adventure. Every minute Rex has
had away from sales work has been spent pursuing incredibly adventurous
lifestyle. The owner operator of not one but two private planes
one with floats, he used them tirelessly to get him to where the
action is. Flying as a bush pilot in Alaska, operating a hunting
camp for Brown bear to Doll Sheep, and fly fishing every great
spot on the west coast is just the beginning to his passions. Rex
is the only Spey angler I know that has caught multiple 30 plus
pound steelhead, and one of recent on the Sol-Duc River in Forks.
I am rewarded every day I get to spend with Rex and am very happy
to have him agree to take care of some fly fishing clients. He
has the uncanny ability to find steelhead and is possibly the craftiest
spey angler on the planet.
Mike Bresidsky aka; Crazy Mike

I was fortunate to meet “Crazy Mike” in Forks a
few years back wile he was guiding for Gordon Gracey. We have
fished together numerous times since and he never fails to impress
me (as if that’s important) with his passion and dedication
to fly fishing for steelhead and salmon. He comes with a laundry
list of angling accomplishments that would impress Lefty Kreh
himself. Starting in the early 70’s on the pro bass circuit
and finishing with a worldwide two year fishing sabbatical which
included fly fishing 26 states and 7 different countries, including
steelhead in Forks Washington. Along the way he has Captained
long range tuna and billfish boats with recorded landings of
over 300 marlin, including a 276 lb tuna. Being of worldly experience
it is testimonials to Olympic Peninsula angling to have him choose
to stay in the region and pursue these incredible fish we call
steelhead.
