Washington State Fly Fishing for
Trout & Steelhead
What people are saying about fishing with Braz
|
| "I have hit game winning
home runs in front of thousands of fans and played in numerous
All Star Games but the feeling I got while fly fishing
for steelhead with the "Braz" fills
my soul ten fold. Jeff is the size of a bear, has the heart
of a lion but is a first class servant-leader. The days on
the river flew by as all I had to do was throw the bug to
the fish as the "Braz" took care of the rest! If
you want an amazing experience - look no further...book a
trip with Jeff Brazda and let it fill your soul the way it
did mine!!" --Mike

| "Jeff, it's been my good fortune
to fish with many excellent fly fishing guides for
both trout and steelhead. Let
me say that none is better than you. Your knowledge
of the water, the fish, and the positioning of casts for
most effectiveness are all absolutely top flight. And
your boundless enthusiasm and good humor are a great
plus. We fly fishermen fish because there's much more to
fishing than just the catching of fish. It's the total
experience in being in beautiful places, casting, one hopes,
a drag-free drift, and completely losing oneself in
the whole of it. It's always a rewarding time fishing
with you. I look forward to many more trips
together." --John Narver |

| "Brother, I just wanted to say "Thank You" from
the bottom of my heart for being my guide, and my mentor. BAR
NONE, NO EXCEPTIONS, I have never met
a guide/fisherman that worked harder, was
more generous with the knowledge, or was more patient. I
have fly fished all my life, and with plenty of guides
and have only recently started to fish for Steelhead. I
asked you to "teach me, and be patient" and
you delivered with a capital D. I have
never learned more about fishing than in the time
I spent with you. My
confidence level has improved, my casting has improved,
most importantly my ability to to read the water has
increased, all because of your gracious tutelage. I
purposely didn't bring my wife because steelheading can
be pretty "hardcore" and the guides can be pretty
gruff. I'll bring her next time, and I know that
you will get her into fish. WHO
CAN SAY THAT????? As you know, I
work for a HR department and the department
motto is " looking for scary smart individuals who
are also really cool ". You said you were just "really
scary". Trust me brother, we take this motto
very seriously, and you are the kind of guy
we are looking for. Dedicated
to your profession, high work ethic, no ego, and yes, scary
smart and also really cool. " --Ringo

| "I have been
fly fishing for steelhead with Jeff now for five seasons.
He is bar none the best and hardest
working guide I have ever fished with. I consider myself a decent flyfisherman,
but Jeff has taught me so much about fly fishing for
steelhead, especially spey fishing. He's
a master spey fisherman and has shaved years off my own
personal learning
curve. It
is a privilege to go steelheading with
Jeff and I'm looking forward to many
more seasons of fishing together with him..Thank
you!" --Ken Fox |

| "My wife and I began fly fishing about six years ago,
primarily fishing the Yakima River. We met Jeff Brazda
when we first started on the Yakima and he was the first
guide we ever hired, to teach our boy's how to fish. Since
our initial meeting and our numerous fishing experiences,
we have become good friends.
We have fished other guides /services both in Yakima,
Missoula and the Twin Bridges area and Jeff is truly one
of the best. This summer, Jeff guided out of Twin Bridges,
Montana.. My wife and I have very busy schedules and had
a window to travel to Jeff and fish a few days. Now I
don't know about you, but a thirteen hundred mile
roundtrip drive to Twin Bridges, Mt.
for two day of fishing is a stretch, not
a lot of time to recover if you have a so-so day on the
river. For sure, you need to have confidence in who is
meeting your on the other end and know they are solid. But
we knew that if Jeff Brazda was waiting for us at our
destination, the drive would be well worth it. And it
was, my wife and I both landed many as well as the largest
fish either of us have ever caught, 20" plus
fish are a fantastic experience. Jeff's knowledge of
the various species, as well as their environments is
really something. I learn more and more each time I fish
with him.
We hope to fish trout with Jeff again on our home
waters, the Yakima before the summer ends but if not,
we know the steelhead are just a few weeks/months away.
And we could not think of a a better guide to fish with
than Jeff Brazda. Do yourself a favor, call
him and set up a trip!"

| I’ve fished with Jeff two years now. I hope to fish
with him for many years to come.
Fishing steelhead is what he loves, and it shows.
Whether it’s the Klickitat, Methow or OP rivers,
he knows his water, and he has the positive attitude needed
to get you into fish.
Jeff is also an incredible spey caster, and is willing
to share is vast knowledge. He has one of those personalities that makes you want
to come back for more.
If you love fishing steelhead, and want to have a fun,
knowledgeable guide, Call Jeff Brazda! --Rob

| "For selfish
purposes I'm almost reluctant to disclose Jeff Brazda's
guiding capabilities! Having used Jeff for years, I
can honestly say I've never met a guide as hard-working
and knowlegdable as Jeff Brazda. If you want to
catch fish and have a good time doing it, then book him." --Jared

"I have been fly fishing for 20
years, guided fly-fishing trips in Montana and Wyoming and I have been
fly-fishing for steelhead over the past 12 years in Washington , Alaska
and Oregon . I am yet to meet anyone
else with as much ability and passion for catching fish on the fly rod
as Jeff. Whether he is tying a fly, building a fly line or guiding
a client, it is with excitement and with the distinct purpose of hooking
the next fish. So, if you want to learn how to
catch fish, Jeff is the man. You
won't find anyone who will work harder or teach you more! Oh yeah…and
he knows how to have fun, too. I am counting the days until my
next trip Thanks Jeff!" --Eric S. Abbott
Jeff -- " just wanted
to take a few minutes say thank you for everything you have taught
me about Spey “fishing” these past few seasons. As a guy who
fished a single hand all my life, I didn't think Spey Casting would
be so different. I have taken a number of classes and as you
know, living on a river have put in countless hours of practice, but
at the end of day, I learned how to “cast” a spey line and not how
to “fish” it. You taught me how to “fish”. You taught me
how to read water, how to cast heavily weighted flies, picked apart
my cast to make me better, showed me countless types of presentations,
and I didn't just learn to cast, I learned to fish. You even put
me into fish with your Swimming Drift. Who would have thought
I would have been able catch fish like that with a spey rod? You have
been patient with your time, generous with your knowledge, and I consider
you a real friend. Thank you for not only exposing me to a larger
world of fly fishing, but encouraging me as well." --Ringo
Jeff - My thanks to you
for a great couple of days on the Big Hole river this year in
Montana. Your patience with me was great. The laughs and the
good times will stay with me for a long time. It was just an
incredible time, one for the books. See you this fall! --George

fish before 8:45

with a guide service out of Ellensburg on the Yakima, a friend suggested
professional guide Jeff Brazda."
