It is my belief that a fishing guide service needs to provide more than what clients and guests are expecting. The group of Guides that we use are full time proffesionals in the sport of fly fishing, and have talents that only come with experiance on the water. Collectively, the steelhead guides at Brazdas fly fishing have nearly fifty years of guiding experience and each a lifetime of angling. Although the youngest of the crew is only 24 he possess the mindset and skills of anglers twice his age. Out of all my guides I am the only one that has actually held a carreer in any other field than fly fish guiding, and I have the grey hair to show it.
The best crew of steelhead guides in the NW and certainly the hardest working:
Myself, Jeff Brazda, owner operator (www.Brazdasflyfishing.com) , 30 years as a near phsycotic steelhead angler and a life long member of the school of hard knocks. I’ve spent 30 years steelhead fishing on the Olympic Peninsula, and guiding the last fifteen. I have hunted and fished my entire life beginning on the Methow river in 1970 at age 7. Over 10 years guiding on the Yakima, and the last 7 years guiding in Montana at the Stonefly Inn for trout my second passion in life. I left the dirty life of heavy highway construction in 1998 for the final time and never looked back.
Tyler Barrus: Tyler is a life long fishing guide and now also manages sporting ranches in the great state of Montana. Since leaving a 10 year guide job in South America (TDF) as a trout fishing guide in 2004 he has been spending the last 7 years on the Olympic Peninsula during winter / spring steelhead season, and guides at Crane Medows Lodge Montana all summer. The most enthusiastic and hardest working fishing guide I have ever known.
